Crime Line

Many criminals are behind bars thanks to anonymous Crime Line Tip-Offs. With Crime Line you have the power to help fight crime without endangering yourself. It's easy, it's anonymous, it's up to you. Note that this is NOT an emergency line and if you see a crime taking place or are a victim of crime, call 10111 or your nearest police station.

How does Crime Line work?

It's simple. Are you suspicious about your neighbours, relatives or friends? Do you suspect they are involved in crime? This can be for a crime that has happened or is going to happen.

If you have any information about criminals - be they murderers, rapists, robbers, hijackers, burglars, drug dealers, gangsters, child abusers, fraudsters, smash and grabbers or petty criminals, contact Crime Line and they will get the police to act.

How to tip-off:

SMS 32211. Please be specific! For example, if you have names, addresses, descriptions, etc. please provide them. SMSs are charged at R1.00 each. Your details are NOT passed on to the authorities.

Online: Click here to pass on information via the website.
