• Accept no help from strangers at a pay point or ATM.
• Destroy/shred documents with personal information, like bank statements and slips.
• Never respond to e-mail requests for bank details, as no bank will ask for such information.
• Be careful when shopping on-line and don't give out personal information unnecessarily.
• Install anti-virus software to protect your computer and the information stored in it.
• Do not use internet banking in public places like internet cafès and libraries.
